Ravalli Electric Cooperative Announces Kendall Hankins as New General Manager/CEO
Victor, MT — March 27, 2026 Ravalli Electric Cooperative has announced that Kendall Hankins has been selected as the cooperative’s next General Manager/CEO. Hankins will assume the role on April 27, 2026, following the retirement of current General Manager/CEO Mark Grotbo.
Hankins brings extensive leadership experience and a strong background in the electric cooperative industry. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Member Services at Southeastern Indiana REMC, where he played a key role in overseeing member operations, strategic planning, and broadband deployment and infrastructure initiatives that support rural communities.
The Ravalli Electric Cooperative Board of Directors conducted a nationwide search before selecting Hankins to lead the cooperative.

In addition to his work in the electric utility sector, Hankins has also served several public service roles, including as a county commissioner and an educator. His background reflects a strong commitment to community engagement and public service.
Hankins holds degrees in business management, strategic management, and criminal justice, including a Master of Business Administration from Oakland City University. He has also completed numerous professional development programs within the electric cooperative network.

Hankins succeeds Mark Grotbo, who will retire after 12 years as General Manager of Ravalli Electric Cooperative. During his tenure, Grotbo helped guide the cooperative through a period of growth and innovation while strengthening its commitment to the communities it serves.
