Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association (MECA) Memorial Scholarship

 

Each year Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association awards a scholarship in the amount of $500. The scholarship is funded by individual contributions to the MECA Memorial Scholarship Program. To apply for the scholarship, applicants, parents or guardians must be a member of Ravalli Electric Cooperative.

Ravalli Electric Co-op “Luck of the Draw” Scholarship

 

Ravalli Electric Co-op annually distributes twelve $1,000 college scholarships each May to graduating high school seniors in our service territory.

 

Luck of the Draw Scholarship Requirements

12 – $1,000 scholarships are available to Bitterroot Valley high school seniors planning to attend university, college, or vocational school during the 2024 to 2025 school year.

To be eligible:

  1. Parent or legal guardian of student must be a Ravalli Electric Co-op member at time of application and must be a member at time of the scholarship drawing on May 3, 2024.
  2. Student must be a senior at: Florence, Stevensville, Victor, Corvallis, Hamilton, or Darby High School, Hamilton Christian Academy, or an accredited home school. One guaranteed winner will be drawn from each high school.
  3. Student must have maintained a “B” — 3.0 — grade point average from freshman through junior years and through the first semester of senior year. Home school students must have an ACT score of 24 or higher.
  4. Students must be planning to attend university, college, or vocational school during the 2024-2025 school year.
  5. Completed application must be received by REC no later than 4:30 PM close of business Friday, April 26, 2024. Applications can be completed on our website or printed off and returned to the office in person or via mail: 143 Bell Xing W. Victor, MT 59875.
  6. Students are encouraged to dress appropriately at the live scholarship drawing event. Winners will have their picture taken for media use.

Winners will be announced during a live drawing event to be held at Ravalli Electric Co-op on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 4 p.m. Once your application is received, you will be sent an official invitation in the mail with more information on the event. Students attending the event will also receive a $25 Amazon gift card just for attending!
