Please contact us prior to filling out any rebate forms to see which rebates are available and the requirements needed to receive an incentive payment.

Please Note: Only the following Rebate Forms will be accepted. Certain installations must be done by certified technicians to be eligible for rebates. See our List of Certified Technicians (PDF).

Ductless Heat Pump System Rebate

Requirements

To qualify for a rebate, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Existing homes conditioned by zonal or forced-air electric resistance heat as the primary heating source – No other heating sources are eligible
  • A failed heat pump system operating with electric resistance back-up heat is not considered electric resistance for the purposes of meeting pre-condition requirements
  • Heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF): DHPs or Ducted Mini-Split must be a split system heat pump employing an inverter-driven outdoor compressor with inverter-driven or variable-speed indoor blower rated with a minimum of 9.0 HSPF or 7.6 HSPF2 by the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI)
  • Must be installed by a licensed contractor and include invoice showing manufacturer, model number, type, size and quantity of equipment or product installed

Ductless Heat Pump System Installation Agreement

Air Source Heat Pump Rebate

Requirements

To qualify for a rebate, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Purchase an Air Source Heat Pump from our PTCS Certified Technicians List. Note: Look for a Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF) of 9.0 or higher and a seasonal energy efficiency Rating (SEER) of 14.0 or higher – Be sure all specifications on the rebate form are met
  • Heat pump upgrades include adding a heat pump to a system with gas back-up, replacing an existing heat pump, or if upgrading from zonal to ASHP
  • When more than 50% of the heating system ducts run through unconditioned space, the ducts must be sealed and PTCS certified unless the ducts were previously certified or a PTCS duct leakage test indicated that the pre-existing duct leakage is too low to qualify for the PTCS duct sealing reimbursement
  • Install the system in our service territory
  • Attach a copy of the invoice listing the manufacturer (brand name), model number, type, size, cost of the system, AHRI certificate, and a copy of the PTCS testing forms
  • Have your installer sign this form verifying that it meets the specifications above

Ground Source/Geo-Thermal Heat Pump Rebate

Requirements

To qualify for a rebate, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Purchase a Ground Source Heat Pump from our PTCS Certified Technicians list
  • Install the system in our service territory
  • The measure is available for single-family homes only
  • All system components must be newly installed – The replacement of an existing geothermal unit or the thermal exchange loop or fossil fuel furnaces does not qualify
  • Geothermal heat pump systems must be ENERGY STAR qualified and installed according to the IGSHPA specifications available at the time of installation by a PTCS and IGSPHA-certified technician
  • Read the agreement form for a complete listing of qualifications necessary to qualify for the rebate
  • The installer must fill out a rebate form and submit it to Ravalli Electric Co-op and PTCS

Heat Pump Water Heater

Requirements

  • Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) must be listed on the BPA Qualified Products List (PDF)
  • HPWH must be Tier 4 model
    Installed to manufacturer’s specifications –
  • The installer must submit a completed and signed rebate form
  • In addition, must provide an invoice with the manufacturer, model number, size, and quantity of equipment installed – Also, the purchase date and cost of HPWH
